Profile:
Baldwin Construction Services, Inc. is proud
to celebrate 27 years of excellence
in Commercial General Contracting. Founded
in 1981, Baldwin specializes in the
Design/Build delivery method of construction
where we work with clients from conception
through occupancy. We strive to learn as
much as possible about our client’s business
so we can design and build a custom facility
they can be proud of. We are a schedule
driven company who understands that time
truly is money when it comes to construction
scheduling. Baldwin has completed many local
projects including, office buildings, strip
centers, warehouses, medical facilities,
restaurants, retail stores and kennel
facilities as well as buildings throughout
the Southeast for our national clients.
Baldwin represents MESCO pre-engineered
steel buildings in the Wilmington area.
Thomas S.
Baldwin, Jr. (Tom) – President
Tom founded
Baldwin Construction Services in 1981 as a
general and electrical contracting firm
specializing in commercial construction.
With 31 years of commercial construction
experience and many successful clients, he
is proud of the firm’s reputation of “Doing
the Right Thing” every time; and always
looking out for his clients’ best interests.
This attitude is exemplified by Baldwin’s 15
year partnership with Havertys Furniture
Companies, during which the company has
built 26 showrooms throughout the Southeast.
Timothy
E. Marechal (Tim) – Operations Manager
Tim has 39
years of commercial construction experience
with an extensive background in millwork.
Tim’s responsibilities at Baldwin
Construction include Supervising Project
Manager, Business Development, Planning and
Design Coordination. He works closely with
our clients to make certain they receive the
highest quality and level of service.
Tim has
worked on many multi-million dollar projects
in the Mid-Atlantic area as well as
extensively in and around Washington, D.C.
Tim worked with Jefferson Millwork (one of
the largest in the country) and served at
various times as a Project Manager,
Estimator, and Business Development Manager
with the Clark Construction Group, (12th
largest in the US), prior to his joining
Baldwin Construction in 2006.
Tim was also
a long time instructor at the Washington
Building Congress (including Outstanding
Instructor of the Year 2003). Tim’s honors
include Merit of Excellence/Craftsmanship
